Savannah MSA Tobacco Attitudes and Awareness Study, 2002
Four hundred residents of Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham counties were surveyed to gather information on attitudes about and awareness of tobacco usage, the recognition and recall rate of the anti-smoking advertising campaign, the relationship between advertising awareness and attitudes toward tobacco use, and the interaction of smokers and non-smokers. The findings suggest that a typical restaurant adopting a non-smoking policy would likely gain thirteen times more business from non-smoking customers than it would lose from smoking customers. |
